This clipper contains self-sharpening precision blades that stay sharper longer and a taper lever that is great for blending and fading haircuts. When should I oil my blades?

The blades on your new clipper should be oiled every few haircuts. For best results, place three drops on front of each blade and one drop on each side of the blade as shown. Use only Wahl Clipper oil (a small bottle is included in this kit)

Why is there hair on my new clippers?

Wahl does not send out any "used" hair clippers. A likely source of the hair-like fibers are shavings from the blade guard that is attached to the clipper blades for protection.

How to reduce the chatter sound?

Use a screwdriver to turn power screw in a clockwise direction until you hear a noise. Then, slowly turn power screw in a counterclockwise direction, just until noise stops. Once Noise stops continue turning the screw 1/4 turn counterclockwise.

How do I unlock stuck blades?

Follow the oiling process and use the taper lever a few times up and down to loosen a stuck blade.

Oiling the blades reduces friction and keeps them from pulling and snagging as you cut your hair. A drop of oil at the corners of the blade's top, as well as the foot of the blade, is all it takes. Lubricant assures quiet operation and improves product performance. It coats the blades with an ultra-thin film of corrosion prevention.
